”The Condition of Being Oneself and not Another”
ICVL + Sidnay Banks + guests
This proposal will investigate the ideas of identity and sexuality through an exhibition but also in combination with a series of events taking place during Bristol Pride Festival week reaching out to a community where identity is paramount. Sydnay is a student from Weston College.
ICVL + Jillian Roberts + Emma Jane Whitton + Meg Ferguson + Joana Pereira + Katja Angeli
A collective of MA/MPhil students in printmaking at the Royal College have proposed to create an exhibition that investigates how photography has shaped our their current practices. Through that, we hope to explore wider concerns, such as how the photographic image – both conceptually and materially – affects our notion of the present, our relationship between virtual and physical, and our understanding of surfaces, textures and the haptic. A series of talks will be combined with the exhibition.
